PUT BACK WHAT FOOD INDUSTRY WASTED!
We have Organic food for riches, we have GMO food for geeks, we don’t have affordable healthy food for regular people...
68.8% of Americans are overweight
50% of adults living in the U.S. have diabetes or pre-diabetes
90 million Americans carry a diagnosis of Cardiovascular disease
We see ourselves as the developers of such solutions:
- Healthy for the body
- Affordable for everyone
- Sustainable for the planet
Why we have so many obese people, although most of them undernourished?
Food industry decomposed food into nutrients and reassembled it from other ingredients such as corn. We got cheap calories and fought the hunger. Hooray!
But do you know that one of the main ingredients in a mother's milk cannot be digested by a baby? We are talking about oligosaccharides (in simple words - fiber). This nutrient is consumed by a bacteria living in our intestine which regulates our metabolism.
When the food industry disregards those ingredients, which do not directly affect the amount of calories in the food, they throw away valuable ingredients, necessary for healthy nutrition.
We propose to use what’s wasted as new vitamins.
$1 for complete 2000 calories?
While there are plenty fruits and companies making high fiber snacks from plants - not everybody can afford it. We base our products on food waste. Such approach has several advantages:
- We put back what’s already grown (no pressure on the land),
- Products have near to zero cost and we pass these savings to everyone,
Putting back what’s wasted we make our meals complete (no supplements needed).
And you will be surprised how much Protein this waste may contain. For instance, the sunflower oil cake has more protein than meat.
High Fiber Snack
First food product made from Sunflower meal as the primary ingredient:
More protein (28.7%) than meat (26%)
10x more dietary fiber than apple
We speak about health, why snacks?
We cannot feed everyone with Organic food - there is no land for that. As well we cannot expose ourselves to the risk of GMO products without testing on multiple generations. But we can put what industry wasted back and make our meals biologically complete again.
Since we need a pretty small amount of wasted ingredients- we took popular these days form and made these snacks as new vitamins.
As a feasibility test, we made high fiber high protein snacks at the price of regular chips (first run is sold-out). We're ready to release the nutritionally and biologically complete meals at the price of food stamps ($3-4 for 2000 cal) in this August. And have potential to reduce it down to $1 for schools by 2019. But we need funds for that.

Focusing on snacks as MVP - we see that food waste recycling unlocks access to affordable healthy meals for growing population.
Looking at the health effects for 44 million people living on food stamps we see the $1.4 trillion savings in healthcare due to the prevention of the diet-related diseases.
We feel we're the bridge between today and future. But we cannot walk it alone.
That's why we call ourself PLANETARIANS, join and help remove healthy food inequality.
